Woah.

It's been a long two weeks.  Last week was Open House and I'm running the clock and scoreboards for both the JV and Freshman boys soccer teams as well as going to Graduate school Tuesday nights.  Friday night was the hubby's cousin's wedding, Saturday was the family brunch and then we were off to Windham Mountain for the Warrior Dash on Sunday.  This week, was more timing on top of my wonderful sinus infection.  I finally broke down yesterday and went to the doctor.  I was also an insane person and I worked out for an hour after going to the doctor.  Part of me was hoping to sweat the illness out of me.  The Z-pack has kicked in a little bit but my ears are still popping like crazy and I feel the ickiness in my head swishing around.

I'm still a little upset that I was too sick to doing anything for Mabon or the Harvest moon on the blog or even personally.  Tomorow is the Practical Magic Blog Party and I'm going to infuse it with Mabon/Fall goodies, including . . .

My very first give-a-way!

Look for more information tomorrow afternoon.

I've been sick

It's that time again.  I always catch a cold during the first few weeks of school as it is a petri dish of germs.  I'll be back to posting within the next few days.  Thanks for your patience!

Z-Packs and Flonase

The doctor gave me two prescriptions this afternoon: Flonase and a Z-pack.  Of course, my insurance provided me with generics (whoo!).  I had a mini-panic attack about 3 hours after taking the both of them.  My chest felt tight and I spiked a low-grade fever.  I feel fine now, but it was a bit scary for me, hence the panic attack.

I also picked up a Netipot for myself at CVS.  The nastiness that came out of my nostrils when I used it was gross, but it did ease a little bit of the pressure on my face.  It honestly feels like someone is taking their hands and pushing on my cheekbones.  Either that or hundreds of tiny elves decided to sit on my cheeks and hang out for a week. Not to mention that this evil infection in my head caused me to miss the full moon!  Blast it all!

Sinus Infection?

I've been suffering from sinus headaches and a stuffy head/nose/chest since last Thursday.  I'm not a huge fan of the doctor, but I made an appointment for tomorrow.  I'm not sure how much he'll be able to help (they never really do). I've been taking Sinus medications all week, but nothing really seems to help me.  Even my Afrin isn't working which is why I don't think anything a doctor will prescribe is going to do anything different.  Do any of you ladies have herbal remedies that work to clean out the sinuses?  Soup and Tea are all I know.  Help!  I need some green witch ideas to get rid of this thing.
